Miguel Blázquez
Miguel is studying the radiation of the Ramalina decipiens group in Macaronesia. Using different approaches as analyses of function traits related with hydric relationships or characterization of abiotic niche, he tries to shed light on the adaptative nature of this radiation.
Alejandro Berliches de Gea
Alejandro studies the effect of forest fragmentation on myco-photobiont interaction networks in a typical Mediterrenean agricultural landscape. Using metabarcoding data he tries to understand how patch size affects the loss of species and interactions.
Isaac Garrido Benavent
Isaac recently moved from the Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales (MNCN) to the Real Jardín Botánico. During a year he will work on species delimitation and population genomics in Ramalina.
Isaac Garrido Benavent
Isaac comes from the field of mushroom taxonomy, with large experience in the field. During his Master thesis (U. Barcelona) he studied the effect of fire and agricultural management in lichens. During his PhD thesis (co-supervised with Asunción de los Ríos) he shed light on the phylogegraphy of Mastodia tesselalta and Pseudephebe pubescens. Antarctic lichens showing
